Making an introduction

If I were to introduce a friend of mine to somebody else, first I would look at the person, and say, “HI, I would like you to meet my friend, so and so, Dave.  Afterwards, I would introduce the person to my other friend and say, “Dave, this is, who knows, Samantha.”
