Describing a car accident

My experience in an auto accident, well the last auto accident I had was unfortunately my fault.  I was a teacher at the time.  It was 8:00 in the morning.  I was on my way to work.  I had a new cd in.  It was raining, but I didn’t care.  It was Friday, I think, I was having a great day, so far.  I turned up the radio to hear one of my favorite songs as the light was turning yellow in a major intersection and the person in front of me decided to go through the light and then changed their minds right in the middle of the intersection.  I hit my breaks, but the car didn’t stop, and I just screeched, slammed right into the back of an SUV.  Closed down rush hour traffic in a major intersection, and it was all my fault.  Totaled the car.  It was a mess.

I remember I was about, I’d say ten years old, when my mom, and I and my sister got into a car accident.  We were driving from my uncle’s house when he lived in Brooklyn.  We were going to my school.  It was about rush hour.  And in Brooklyn people tend to get beside themselves on the road.  They tend to not obey traffic laws.  So we were just driving across one of the main streets called Flatbush Avenue.  And we came to an intersection.  One of the rules of the road are you are not supposed to block the intersection.  So we’re driving across and the guy just comes flying, and my mom, she goes to stop short, because she knows you’re not supposed to block the intersection, but he just comes anyway, and hits the back of the car.  And when he hit the car, it just twisted a little bit.  Luckily, we all were ok.  I’m happy my sister was ok, especially because she was sitting in the back seat.  But it’s kind of like a traumatizing event because I thought we all we’re gonna die.  Because the car, everything went so fast.  So always be careful guys.
